Preparing for a Baby - the book - is out now!

I still remember THE morning as if it was yesterday...

It started with a strangely vivid dream, a vague sense that something was different, and a pregnancy test taken before my husband had even left for work. By evening, I was testing again — and this time, there was no doubt.

That night over dinner, I told him we'd be welcoming a new little person into our lives. And just like that, the journey began.

And here we are: some years later when I'm finally getting some sleep again, I've written the  book I wish I had when I was pregnant with my first, Preparing for a Baby is out now!

Forget navigating messy notes and spreadsheets, like I did: this book has all the practical prep covered in one place, in a structured and clear way without overwhelm.

A few things that genuinely helped me early on...

Without giving too much away, the first chapter covers the mind, the body, and the practical — gently, and in that order. A few of the themes that come up:

  • How to protect your mental energy in those first weeks (including which sources of information are actually worth your time)
  • The quiet rituals that can help you feel grounded when everything feels surreal
  • The small but genuinely important practical steps to get sorted early — without rushing or overwhelming yourself

It's a short chapter, intentionally so. Because in those first weeks, you don't need more to do. You just need to know what actually matters. Subsequent chapters get more detailed, when we dive into the ins and outs of what you actually need to have prepared for your baby's arrival.
