Hello and welcome to my site!

I’m an author and editor, and the founder of Calm and Confident Parenthood — a collection of books and resources created to support parents through all stages of family life, from that first positive pregnancy test to the toddler years and beyond.

Outside of writing, I’m first and foremost a mom and a wife (and also a daughter and sister). I have two wonderful children — a girl and a boy — born three years apart.

When I was expecting my firstborn eight years ago, I was excited, overwhelmed, and determined to prepare in every possible way. True to my nature, I read, researched, and organized endlessly — but I still wished there was one clear, practical, and reassuring guide to help me focus on what really mattered.

That wish eventually became my book Preparing for Baby — a calm, month-by-month guide to getting ready for your little one’s arrival. It was the idea behind that book that set the wheels in motion for Calm and Confident Parenthood as a wider series and concept.

I love sharing what I’ve learned (and continue to learn!) with other parents, and I hope you’ll find comfort and clarity here too. We’re all in it together on this wonderful rollercoaster called parenthood.

You can sign up for my newsletter here to receive free resources and updates, or get in touch.

Travel checklist for pregnancy Let's talk travel while

Let's talk travel while pregnant!

Whether you’re heading off on a babymoon or taking a simple weekend trip, a little preparation goes a long way toward making travel in pregnancy smooth, comfortable, and stress-free. The items on this list are relevant all through pregnancy.

Maternity notes (paper or electronic) Always keep your maternity records with you when traveling, whether on your phone or in print. They contain important details your healthcare provider would need in case of an...

In the early days of my first pregnancy, I remember brushing my teeth one morning and suddenly being struck by a strange, almost dizzying thought: I was carrying a tiny life inside me, and hardly anyone knew. I looked the same. Our apartment looked the same. The world outside carried on exactly as before, but everything felt different.

That feeling stayed with me for a long time. Early pregnancy is a strange in-between space. Your life has already changed, in a way, but there’s little outward...

Welcome to Calm and Confident Parenthood! Becoming a parent was, without

Becoming a parent was, without question, the biggest thing that ever happened to me.

Two years earlier, I had thrown myself into planning my wedding — researching, organizing, and perfecting every detail. But when I found out I was pregnant with my first child, I found a new kind of obsession: preparing for motherhood. I wanted to read, plan, and buy everything, yet quickly realized how overwhelming that world of information could be. Where do you even start when you want to feel calm, ready,...
